Fuel Your Fire: Utilizing Emotional Intelligence and Mindful Self-Compassion to Manage Burnout

If you are in a helping profession you may often ask yourself, “Am I just a bit tired lately and lacking motivation, or am I tumbling into burnout?” In the helping professions, giving so much of yourself means burnout can sneak in without warning. This interactive workshop will move past pragmatic solutions to help you recognize surprising early warning signs, prevent the slippery slide into burnout, learn about preventative emotional intelligence strategies, and recover stronger — so you can keep feeling passionate and purpose-driven in the important work you do.

We will discuss:

  • How to spot early signs of burnout before it takes hold
  • Integrating protective strategies such as emotional intelligence into daily work
  • Simple, research-based recovery strategies you can use immediately
  • How to create your Personal Burnout Prevention & Recovery Plan

About the Speaker

Dr. Julie Braciszewski, Ph.D., LP is a fully licensed clinical psychologist and is the owner and clinical director of Monarch Behavioral Health, PLLC in Bloomfield Hills, MI (www.mbh-mi.com). She provides treatment and evaluation for a wide range of mental health challenges experienced by adults, children, teens and families. Dr. Julie also supports businesses and schools to utilize evidence-based mental wellness approaches in their everyday work and has appeared on several media outlets including local news, podcasts and speaking events.

After completing her Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology at the University of Michigan and working at the Center for Community Research at DePaul University in Chicago, IL, Dr. Julie completed her Master’s and Doctorate degrees at Wayne State University and completed her internship at Hawthorn Center in Northville, MI. She then went on to pursue further specialized training in pediatrics and neuropsychological testing at Brown University’s Warren Alpert Medical School and Bradley Hospital’s Early Childhood Clinical Research Center in Providence, Rhode Island.
